우주항공복합도시 특별법 조기 제정 국회 건의 방문

한국판 나사인 우주항공청 개청을 성공적으로 이끌어낸 박동식 사천시장이 이번에는 우주항공복합도시 조기 건설에 전 행정력을 집중하겠다고 밝혔다.

박 시장은 26일 한국프레스센터에서 개최된 제2회 우주항공 리더 조찬 포럼에 참석해 우주항공복합도시 조성의 필요성과 타당성에 대해 설명했다.

이번 포럼은 한국항공우주산업진흥협회와 K-우주항공 정책포럼이 공동주최했는데 서천호·임종득 국회의원,박동식 사천시장,바카라 롤링 양방정혜경 우주항공청 과장,이수영 경남도 서울세종본부장 등 60여 명이 참석했다.

강구영 한국항공우주산업진흥협회회장은 “우주항공산업 발전을 위한 정보 제공과 교류의 장이 되길 바라고 매월 정기적으로 행사를 이어나갈 계획”이라며 “앞으로도 많은 참여와 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

박 시장은 포럼 참석에 이어 국회를 방문,바카라 롤링 양방우주항공청의 성공적 안착과 글로벌 우주항공 강국 도약을 위해‘우주항공복합도시 건설과 개발 특별법’조속 통과 건의를 했다.

서천호,바카라 롤링 양방엄태영,권영세 의원 등을 잇따라 만나 우주항공복합도시 건설의 필요성을 역설하고 적극적인 지원과 협조를 요청했다.

박동식 시장은 “우리 시는 대한민국 우주항공산업이 매우 중요한 순간에 직면해 있다는 사실을 엄중히 인식하고 있다”며 “우주항공복합도시 조성을 통해 우주항공산업 도약에 기여할 수 있도록 지속적인 노력을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

사천시는 우주항공복합도시 조기 건설을 위해 2023년 12월 우주항공청 연계 도시발전 기본계획을 수립하고 올해 2월 교통,산업․경제,바카라 롤링 양방교육․복지 등 10개분야 87건의 현안사업을 발굴했다.

또 미래 우주항공산업 육성을 위한 마스트플랜을 연내 수립하고 이를 담을 수 있는 에어로스페이스 밸리(Aerospace Valley) 조성을 위한 도시개발계획 수립 용역도 준비 중이다.
