얼핏 보면 경조사를 알려주는 문자메시지로 보이지만 결코 아니다.온라인 사기꾼이 불법으로 확보한 전화번호에 저장된 지인들에게 보낸 스미싱(smishing) 메시지다.6일 네이버 밴드 '보이스피싱 피해자 모임'에는 스팸을 경고하는 글들이 잇따랐다.한 피해자는 "과태료를 내라는 문자를 받고 개인정보를 입력했는데 '아차' 싶었다"고 말했다.

스팸이 진화하고 있다.단순한 대량 홍보성 문자가 아니다.피해자의 금전을 노리는 온라인 사기꾼들이 스팸을 뿌린다.봄·가을 결혼이 잦은 철에는 청첩장을,비트맨까페겨울과 환절기에는 부고장을 주로 발송한다.문제는 온라인 사기꾼이 보낸 메시지에 포함된 링크를 눌렀을 때다.링크를 누르면 진짜와 똑같은 결제창이 뜨거나 악성 앱이 깔린다.방송통신위원회·한국인터넷진흥원에 따르면,비트맨까페스팸 음성·문자 건수는 올해 들어 5월까지 1억6862만건(월평균 3372만건)에 달했다.연내 4억건을 돌파할 전망이다.
