이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표를 흉기로 찌른 혐의 등으로 1심에서 징역 15년을 선고받은 김아무개(67)씨가 형량이 무겁다며 항소했다.

12일 법조계에 따르면,고척스카이돔 야구 예매김씨와 그의 변호인은 11∼12일 1심 판결에 불복해 부산지법에 항소장을 각각 제출했다.김씨는 살인미수·공직선거법 위반 혐의를 받는다.

항소 이유는 양형부당이다.피고인이 저지른 범행에 비해 선고된 형이 지나치게 무겁다는 것이다.

앞서 부산지법 형사6부는 김씨의 범행이 "선거제도와 대의민주주의에 대한 중대한 도전이자 파괴 시도"라며 징역 15년을 선고했다.

김씨는 수사기관에서 줄곧 순수한 정치적 명분에 의한 범행이라고 강변해 왔다.그러나 최후변론에서야 이 전 대표에게 미안하다는 뜻을 표했다.

이에 대해 재판부는 "법정 태도 등을 미뤄볼 때 진지한 반성으로 볼 수 있을지 의문"이라고 꼬집었다.

김씨에게 징역 20년을 구형한 검찰도 7월8일 항소했다.선고된 형량이 구형량과 차이가 나는 데다 김씨에 대한 전자장치 부착명령 청구가 기각된 점이 부당하다고 판단해서다.

한편,고척스카이돔 야구 예매김씨는 지난 1월2일 부산 강서구 가덕도에서 이 전 대표의 목을 흉기로 찔렀다.김씨 공격으로 내경정맥이 9㎜ 손상되는 상처를 입은 이 전 대표는 수술과 입원 치료를 받고 8일 만에 퇴원했다.
