(서울=뉴스1) 이정후 기자 = CJ대한통운(000120)이 G마켓의 익일 배송 서비스 '스마일배송'의 택배 배송을 전담하며 CJ그룹과 신세계그룹 간 협업에 첫발을 뗐다.CJ대한통운은 스마일배송에 이어 SSG닷컴 등 신세계 그룹사 물류 운영을 통해 3자 물류 고객사 유치에 집중한다는 계획이다.

CJ대한통운은 자사 배송 브랜드 '오네'(O-NE)를 통해 G마켓 '스마일배송'의 택배 서비스를 시작한다고 1일 밝혔다.

스마일배송은 G마켓 입점 셀러들의 주문 처리 과정 일체를 담당하는 풀필먼트 서비스다.셀러가 G마켓 풀필먼트 센터에 물건을 입고시키면 G마켓이 주문부터 재고 관리,포장,배송에 이르는 물류 서비스를 제공하는 방식이다.월평균 배송 물량은 250만 건 규모다.

CJ대한통운은 우선 스마일배송의 라스트마일을 담당한다.향후에는 현재 오후 8시인 다음날 도착보장 마감시한을 자정까지 확장하는 내용으로 물류 협업 방안을 논의하고 있다.

또한 양사는 물성별 특화 풀필먼트 서비스뿐만 아니라 이커머스 주문량 예측 시스템 등을 통해 셀러와 소비자의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 협업 방안도 구상 중이다.이커머스 플랫폼 입점 사업자를 풀필먼트 고객사로 전환하기 위한 마케팅 활동도 벌일 예정이다.

CJ대한통운의 스마일배송 전담은 지난달 CJ(001040)그룹과 신세계(004170)그룹이 맺은 그룹 차원의 사업 협력 방안으로 추진됐다.양사는 온오프라인 물류를 비롯해 식품,미디어,메이저안전놀이터멤버십 분야에 이르는 포괄적 협력을 약속했다.

양 그룹의 협력에 따라 CJ대한통운도 신세계 계열사와의 협업을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.향후 SSG닷컴의 쓱배송과 새벽배송 물량도 담당할 예정이며 SSG닷컴이 운영하는 김포 네오(NE.O) 센터 두 곳과 오포에 마련한 첨단 물류센터를 CJ대한통운에 이관하는 방안도 협의 중이다.

CJ대한통운 관계자는 "고품질 도착보장 서비스를 통해 이커머스 셀러와 소비자 편의를 높일 수 있도록 노력할 것"이라며 "CJ그룹과 신세계 그룹의 경쟁력을 기반으로 고객 혜택을 강화할 수 있는 성공적인 협업이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.
