▲ 어린이집,유치원,도박장 개설죄초중고교 금연구역 확대 안내문[사진제공=보건복지부]보건복지부는 오는 17일부터 어린이집,유치원,도박장 개설죄초중고교 경계 30ｍ 내에서 흡연할 경우 10만원 이하의 과태료가 부과된다고 15일 밝혔다.

지금까지는 어린이집·유치원 주변 10ｍ 이내가 금연 구역이었는데 국민건강증진법 개정에 따라 30ｍ로 확대됐고,초중등교육법에 따라 학교 주변 30ｍ도 금연 구역으로 새로 지정됐다.

간접흡연으로부터 아동·청소년을 보호하기 위한 조치로,교육시설 인근 금연 구역 확대·신설은 1년간의 유예를 거쳐 이번에 본격 시행된다.

이번 조치에 따라 각 시·군·구청은 어린이집,도박장 개설죄유치원,초중고교 시설의 경계 30ｍ 이내가 금연 구역임을 알리는 표지를 건물 담장과 벽면,도박장 개설죄보도 등에 설치해야 한다.

복지부와 한국건강증진개발원은 포스터나 현수막 등 홍보물을 제작해 지방자치단체에 배포하고,대국민 홍보도 할 예정이다.

복지부 관계자는 "교육 시설 주변의 금연 구역 확대는 간접흡연에 취약한 아동·청소년의 건강 보호를 위해 필요한 조치"라며 "앞으로도 지역 사회 금연 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다"고 했다.
