밀린 학원비를 들먹이며 미성년 제자를 성폭행하려 한 연기학원 대표 A(30대)씨를 14일 청주지검이 아동·청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률 위반(강간 등 치상) 혐의로 구속기소 했다고 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난해 미성년 제자 B씨에게 "자신과 성관계하면 밀린 학원비를 내지 않아도 된다"는 식으로 말한 뒤 성범죄를 저지르려다가 미수에 그친 혐의를 받는다.

이 사건으로 B씨는 약 9개월간 치료가 필요한 외상후스트레스장애(PTSD) 등 상해를 입었다.

검찰은 범행이 중대하다 판단해 2회에 걸쳐 구속영장을 청구해 A씨를 구속했다.

청주지검 관계자는 "트라우마 극복을 위해 피해자 심리치료 지원을 의뢰했다"며 "앞으로도 우월적 지위를 이용한 미성년자 성범죄에 대해선 엄정하게 대응할 것"이라고 말했다.
