한국맥도날드가 재료 수급 문제로 지난 20일부터 중단한 감자튀김(프렌치프라이) 판매를 이번 주부터 다시 판매한다.

24일 외식업계에 따르면 맥도날드는 이번 주부터 프렌치프라이 판매를 일부 매장부터 순차적으로 재개한다.일부 매장에선 감자튀김 수급을 위한 배송 스케줄 조정에 나섰다.정확한 판매 시점은 추후 공지할 예정이다.

맥도날드는 지난 20일 웹사이트에 “예기치 못한 공급망 이슈로 일시적으로 프렌치프라이를 제공할 수 없게 됐다”고 밝혔다.이에 따라 매장에선 세트 메뉴를 판매하지 않고,포츠머스 조약버거 단품을 주문하면 콜라 미디엄 사이즈를 제공했다.

감자튀김을 만들 때 사용하는 일부 냉동 감자의 기준 미달을 우려해 품질 관리 선제 대응 차원에서 이 같은 결정을 내린 것이다.

한국맥도날드 관계자는 “전국 매장에 공급을 100% 안정화하기까지 다소 시간이 소요될 것으로 보이지만,포츠머스 조약이번 주부터 순차적으로 공급량을 늘려갈 계획”이라고 설명했다.
