2019년 헝가리에서 한국인 관광객 25명의 목숨을 앗아간 유람선 침몰사고 유족이 국내 여행사를 상대로 한 손해배상 소송에서 일부 승소했습니다.

서울중앙지법은 지난 14일,식품 슬로건'참좋은여행' 주식회사가 사고로 숨진 5명의 유가족 9명에게 총 29억 8,식품 슬로건600만원을 배상하라고 판결했습니다.

재판부는 현지 여행사가 현지법상 최소 승무원 승선요건을 지키지 않는 등 피고의 과실과 동일시 할 수 있는 현지 여행사 과실이 사고 발생의 원인이 됐다고 인정된다고 판단했습니다.

다만 사망자들이 사고 당일 구명조끼를 요청하는 등의 안전조치를 스스로 취할 수도 있던 점 등을 고려해 여행사 책임을 80%로 제한했습니다.
