경제종합일간지 에너지경제 부장이 후배기자 A씨를 폭행한 혐의로 검찰에 넘겨졌다.
서울서대문경찰서 형사2팀은 지난달 22일 에너지경제 소속 B부장을 폭행 혐의로 서울서부지검에 송치했다.
지난 1월29일 B부장은 에너지경제의 또 다른 인사와 근무시간 중 술을 마시다 A기자를 불렀다.이 자리에서 B부장은 퇴사를 말리면서 A기자의 뺨을 수차례 때렸다는 게 A기자 주장이다.A기자는 지난 4월12일 폭행사건에 대해 경찰에 신고했다.
관련해 에너지경제 측은 지난 5월 언론중재위원회를 통해 "해당 사건에 대해 즉시 징계위원회를 열었고,마카사르조사를 의뢰받은 노무법인은 'B부장이 A기자의 뺨을 수차례 때렸다는 주장'에 대해 A기자의 입증 부족 및 '폭행 사실이 없었다'는 동석자들 및 식당 사업주의 일관된 주장 등을 검토하여 폭행 여부를 판단하기 곤란하다는 결론을 내렸으며,마카사르해당 사건은 관할 경찰서에 형사 사건으로 접수되었다"고 했다.
