[서울=뉴시스]이창훈 기자 = 현대차는 2일 호텔그룹 힐튼이 만든 글로벌 타임쉐어 리조트 기업 '힐튼 그랜드 베케이션스(HGV)'의 아시아태평양·하와이본부와 전략적 파트너십 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

타임쉐어 리조트는 회원들이 제휴된 리조트를 일정 기간 소유하고 자유롭게 숙박하는 개념이다.

이 협약으로 양사는 올 여름부터 하와이 현지에서 현대차 전기차를 경험할 수 있는 '현대 모빌리티 패스포트 인 코나 프로그램'을 진행한다.HGV 멤버십 가입자 및 하와이 HGV 리조트 이용 고객들이 대상이다.

현대차는 이미 일본 법인인 현대 모빌리티 재팬 단독으로 지난 4월부터 하와이 오아후섬에서 아이오닉5와 투싼 하이브리드를 체험할 수 있는 현대 모빌리티 패스포트 캠페인을 진행해 왔다.

이번 협약을 통해 일본 법인이 기존에 진행하던 프로그램을 확대 운영해 글로벌 잠재 고객에게 일상 속 전기차 경험을 선사한다는 계획이다.
