경북 영천지역에 최대 250mm가 넘는 집중호우가 내리면서 크고 작은 피해가 잇따르고 있다.

영천시 재난안전대책본부는 비상2단계를 발령하고 호우 피해 예방에 행정력을 집중하고 있다.

9일 영천시에 따르면 전날 오후 11시40분을 기해 지역에 발효된 호우주의보는 이날 오전 1시10분 호우경보로 격상되며 많은 비가 내리고 있다.

이날 오후 3시 기준 지역 평균 강수량은 130mm가 넘는다.특히 고경면과 금호읍 일원은 250mm와 200mm가 넘는 집중호우가 쏟아지면서 도로와 농경지,드래곤볼 폭풍처럼주택이 침수되는 등 30건이 넘는 각종 피해가 발생했다.

금호읍 삼호리에 있는 한 돼지농장은 침수 피해로 사육중인 돼지 1천500마리가 물에 잠겨 공무원 및 소방관이 긴급 출동해 배수작업을 벌였다.

북안면 임포리에선 흘러내린 토사물이 공장 건물을 덮치는 사고도 있었으나 다행히 인명 피해는 없다.

영천시 재난안전대책본부는 "앞으로도 호우가 지속될 것으로 예상됨에 따라 직원 3분의1이 비상근무체계에 돌입해 시설물과 취약지역에 대한 예찰 및 점검을 하고 있다"며 "단 한명의 인명 피해도 발생하지 않도록 사고 예방에 만전을 기하겠다"고 밝혔다.
