케이메디허브(대구경북첨단의료산업진흥재단·이사장 양진영)가 디자인한 복강경 수술기구 'Flexiscope'가 '레드닷 디자인 어워드 2024'에서 본상을 수상했다.

케이메디허브 첨단의료기기개발지원센터 제품제작팀(황수연 팀장)은 이번 레드닷 디자인 어워드에 복강경 수술기의 컨셉 디자인 'Flexiscope'를 선보여 디자인 컨셉 부문 본상을 받게 됐다.

'Flexiscope'는 기존 복강경 수술기의 불편함을 개선해 의사의 조작방향과 같은 방향으로 디자인됨으로써 직관적인 수술 행위를 보조할 수 있다.인체공학적 요소를 반영해 장시간 사용에도 피로감을 줄일 수 있는 손잡이(그립)과 직관적인 인터페이스와 구조로 수술 중 실수를 최소화할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

레드닷 디자인 어워드는 1955년 독일 노르트하임 베스트팔렌 디자인센터 주관으로 시작된 디자인 시상식으로 매년 50여 개국의 디자이너 및 디자인 업체에서 출품한 작품 중 0.7%(2023년 기준)만이 수상할 수 있는 세계적 규모의 권위 있는 시상식이다.

시상식은 오는 10월 10일 싱가포르에서 열린다.'Flexiscope'를 포함한 수상작은 싱가포르 레드닷 디자인 뮤지엄과 레드닷 홈페이지에 1년간 온·오프라인 전시될 예정이다.

양진영 이사장은 “세계적 규모의 시상식인 레드닷 디자인 어워드에서 케이메디허브의 디자인 역량을 인정받아 기쁘다”며,“의료산업에서 디자인의 중요성을 널리 알리고,로또복권 방송시간의료 및 디자인 산업의 발전을 위해 케이메디허브가 앞장서겠다”라고 밝혔다.
