지난달 11일 직장인 커뮤니티에는 볼보 코리아 직원이 "회사 복지 일러스트에 적나라한 남혐 손가락 그림이 나온다"며 입장을 밝혀 달라는 글이 올라왔습니다.

그림 속 인물들의 손 모양이 남성 혐오를 뜻하는 부자연스러운 손가락으로 보인다는 주장입니다.

최근 르노 코리아의 홍보 영상 속에 이와 비슷한 손가락 모양이 등장하면서 뒤늦게 이 게시글도 논란에 휘말렸습니다.

회사 측은 이후 해당 홍보물을 삭제한 걸로 알려졌습니다.

그림의 출처는 이미지 판매 사이트 '셔터스톡'에 한 인도네시아 그래픽 디자이너가 2년 전 올린 그림입니다.

여러 그림을 묶어 팔면서 '공부하는 사람들의 벡터 이미지입니다'는 설명을 달아 두었습니다.

이걸 보면 여러 외국 사이트도 이 그림을 사용했고 혐오의 의미를 담았다고 보기는 어려워 보입니다.

게임 업계에 이어 자동차 업계까지 거듭된 '남성 혐오' 주장에 기업들의 사과가 이어지고 있습니다.
