부의장 조현옥 선출

전남 광양시의회는 1일 오전 제329회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열고 9대 후반기 의장에 최대원,슬롯사이트부의장에 조현옥 의원을 선출했다.

의장 선거에서 민주당 의장 후보로 추대된 최대원 의원은 12표를 얻었다.진보당 백성호 의원은 2표를 얻었다.

부의장은 조현옥 의원이 13표,슬롯사이트무효 1표로 당선됐다.

최 의장은 "의장 소임을 맡겨주신 의원님들께 감사드린다"며 "개인적으로 무한한 영광이지만 당선 기쁨에 앞서 시민을 위해 의장으로서 어떻게 수행할지 막중한 책임감을 느낀다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "민의를 대변하는 시민의 대의기관으로서 시민과 소통 및 협력을 최우선으로 생각하고 시민의 뜻을 경청해 시정에 적극 반영하겠다"고 약속했다.

최 의장은 민주당 비례대표로 8대 의회에 입성해 총무위원장에 이어 9대 의회 전반기 산업건설위원장을 역임했다.

재선인 조현옥 부의장은 8대 의회 산업건설위원장을 맡았다.

광양시의회는 2일 운영위원장,총무위원장,산업건설위원장을 선출할 예정이다.
