민관학연 7개 기업·단체가 나서 발족제너럴모터스 한국사업장(한국GM)이 다양성,포용성,트로이 디니형평성 가치의 사회적 확산과 문화 조성을 위해 민관학연 7개 기업·단체와 함께 한국다양성협의체를 구성하고 발족식을 가졌다고 19일 밝혔다.

한국과학기술회관에서 열린 이 날 발족식에는 원지영 한국GM 다양성위원회 공동의장 겸 부사장과 송관흠 한국GM 다양성위원회 공동의장 겸 전무를 포함해 한국GM 다양성위원회 소속 20여명의 임직원들이 참석했다.

한국GM 다양성위원회는 반기문 전 UN 총장,이종호 과학기술정보통신부 장관 축사 등 각계각층의 축하와 기대 속에 진행된 발족식 직후 한국다양성협의체가 주관한 다양성·포용성 포럼 및 토론 세션에 참여해 다양성,트로이 디니포용성,트로이 디니형평성 가치 실현을 위한 GM의 경영 철학과 행동 방식을 공유했다.

한국GM 다양성위원회는 협의체를 구심점으로 포용적 환경 조성,차별 금지 및 평등 증진,다양성 교육 및 인식 개선,공동체 간 대화 촉진,트로이 디니지속 가능한 다양성 정책 추진 등의 활동을 통해 조직의 다양성 보호와 증진을 위해 노력하고 이러한 영향력이 사회 전반으로 확산될 수 있도록 연대할 예정이다.

원지영 한국GM 다양성위원회 공동의장 겸 부사장은 "한국다양성협의체의 출범은 사회 전반적으로 다양성에 대한 인식과 중요성을 강조하는 데 있어 중요한 진전을 나타낸다"며 "앞으로도 참여기관간 협업을 통해 다양성 가치를 더욱 확산시킬 것"이라고 말했다.
