(서울=연합뉴스) 김주환 기자 = 한국게임산업협회와 한국콘텐츠진흥원은 다음 달 5일 서울 용산구 국립중앙박물관 소강당에서 '게임 이용 장애 국제세미나'를 개최한다고 19일 밝혔다.

세미나 주제는 '새로운 관점에서 살펴보는 게임 인식'으로,워썬더 이상형 월드컵참가자들은 비디오게임 이용자에 대한 해외 연구 사례와 국내 이용자 대상 종단연구 결과를 발표할 예정이다.

기조 발제에서는 콘텐츠진흥원이 게임기용 인식 개선을 위한 정책 연구 현황을 다룬다.

이어 앤드루 시뷜스키(Andrew Przybylski) 옥스퍼드대 인간행동기술학 교수가 '게임 과몰입을 논하는 세계에서의 비디오 게임과 과학'을,워썬더 이상형 월드컵마띠 부오레(Matti Vuorre) 튈브르흐대 사회심리학과 교수가 '연구는 비디오 게임과 웰빙에 대해 어떻게 말하고 있는가'를 주제로 발제한다.

한덕현 중앙대 의대 교수는 '인터넷게임 사용에 대한 4년 코호트 뇌 변화 - 청년을 중심으로'를,조문석 한성대 사회과학부 교수는 '게임이 게임행동장애의 원인인가?- 게임 행동유형 변동 요인의 쟁점에 대한 실증분석' 연구 결과를 공유한다.

발제 이후에는 윤태진 연세대 커뮤니케이션대학원 교수가 좌장을 맡아 종합 토론을 진행한다.

강신철 게임산업협회장은 "게임 이용 장애 논의를 위해서는 무엇보다 추가적인 임상 연구와 명확한 데이터가 뒷받침돼야 할 것"이라며 "섣부르게 결정하기보다는 긴 호흡을 갖고 세계 각국의 관련 입장이나 검토 과정을 신중하게 살펴봐야 한다"고 강조했다.
