스무디 한 컵에 평균적으로 각설탕 17개 분량의 당이 들어 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.

서울시보건환경연구원은 지난 4∼6월 영양성분 확인이 어려운 중·소형 커피·음료 전문점의 스무디 93종을 분석한 결과를 오늘(8일) 발표했습니다.

스무디 한 컵에 들어 있는 당 함량은 평균 52.2g으로 각설탕 17개 분량에 달했습니다.

한국인 영양소 섭취기준으로 볼 때 한 컵만 마셔도 1일 섭취 기준치의 절반 이상을 먹게 되는 셈입니다.

당 함량이 94.6g에 달하는 스무디도 있었습니다.

음료 주문 시 당도 조절을 요청하면 당 함량이 얼마나 줄어드는지도 분석했습니다.

당도 수준은 기존 당도,'덜 달게',토지노 토토'반으로 달게' 세 단계로 구분해 조사한 결과 '덜 달게'의 경우 당 함량이 평균 15%,토지노 토토'반으로 달게'는 평균 40% 줄었습니다.

박주성 서울시보건환경연구원장은 "스무디와 같은 고당 음료의 당 섭취를 줄이기 위해서는 '덜 단 맛'을 선택할 수 있는 소비 환경이 필요하다"며 "앞으로도 다양한 영양 정보를 조사해 제공할 것"이라고 말했습니다.
