(광주=뉴스1) 이승현 기자 = 음주운전을 하다 도로 한복판에서 잠이 든 40대가 시민 신고로 덜미를 잡혔다.

광주 광산경찰서는 14일 도로교통법 위반(음주운전) 혐의로 40대 A 씨를 입건했다고 밝혔다.

A 씨는 이날 0시 24분쯤 광주 광산구 월계동 일대에서 음주운전을 한 혐의를 받고 있다.

A 씨는 사거리에서 신호 대기 중 잠이 들었고,어제 프로야구 결과도로 한복판에 차가 멈춰선 것을 이상히 여긴 운전자가 경찰에 신고하면서 A 씨의 음주 사실이 들통났다.

조사 결과 A 씨의 혈중 알코올 농도는 0.104%로 면허 취소 수치를 넘긴 것으로 드러났다.

경찰은 A 씨를 상대로 운전 거리 등 정확한 사건 경위를 조사할 방침이다.
