정원 30명 규모 공대 학사과정…졸업생 삼성SDI 입사 기회

(서울=뉴스1) 박종홍 기자 = 삼성SDI(006400)가 성균관대와 손잡고 배터리 전문 인력 양성을 위한 배터리공학과를 신설한다.

양측은 11일 경기 수원시 성균관대 자연과학캠퍼스에서 배터리공학과 설치 협약식을 개최했다고 삼성SDI가 12일 밝혔다.

신설될 배터리공학과는 채용연계형 계약학과로 공과대학 학사 4년제 과정으로 운영된다.성균관대는 2026년부터 10년간 매년 30명 규모의 신입생을 선발할 계획이다.

삼성SDI와 채용연계형 계약학과를 만든 것은 성균관대가 처음이다.졸업생에게는 삼성SDI에 입사할 수 있는 기회가 주어진다.삼성SDI는 향후 배터리 계약학과를 확대할 계획이다.

최윤호 삼성SDI 사장은 "성균관대와의 협약을 통해 배터리 핵심 인재를 확보해 글로벌 톱 티어 회사로서 초격차 기술경쟁력을 더욱 확고히 하겠다"고 말했다.

유지범 성균관대 총장은 "배터리 공학 분야의 선도적 역할을 위한 새로운 출발점"이라며 "상호 신뢰와 협력을 바탕으로 지속적인 발전을 도모할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
