정부가 가격 인상을 자제하는 주유소에 추가적인 인센티브를 부여할 계획이다.

최남호 산업통상자원부 2차관은 1일 경기 안양시 안양동의 한 알뜰주유소를 찾아 이 같은 방안을 논의했다.

앞서 정부는 유류세 인하를 2개월 더 연장하기로 하면서 국제 유가 안정화 추세를 반영,인하율을 축소키로 했다.

이에 따라 이날부터 유류세 인하율은 휘발유가 25%에서 20%,검은 코뿔소 슬롯 무료경유가 37%에서 30%,액화석유가스(LPG)가 37%에서 30%로 각각 축소됐다

유류세 인하 폭이 축소되면서 리터(ℓ)당 휘발유 가격은 약 41원,검은 코뿔소 슬롯 무료경유는 약 38원,검은 코뿔소 슬롯 무료LPG는 약 12원씩 각각 올랐다.

그동안 정부는 업계와 협의,유류세 일부 환원 결정 이후 수요가 급증한 석유류 물량 공급을 차질 없이 진행하고 급격한 가격 인상이 없도록 업계의 자발적인 협조를 요청해 왔다.

산업부는 알뜰주유소의 경우 재고 물량이 확보된 이달 첫째 주에는 유류세 환원분 반영을 최소화해 달라고 당부했다.또 둘째 주부터 점진적으로 가격에 반영될 수 있도록 가격 인상 자제 주유소에 대한 추가적인 인센티브를 부여키로 했다.

이와 함께 유류세 환원분을 초과하는 가격 인상이 없도록 7월 한 달간 판매가격 모니터링을 강화할 방침이다.

아울러 가격 상승기에 편승해 물가 상승을 부추기거나 가짜 석유 등을 불법 유통하는 행위 등을 단속하기 위한 범부처 시장 점검도 확대키로 했다.

최남호 차관은 "유류세 일부 환원으로 국민이 느끼는 부담이 높아질 수 있다"며 "알뜰주유소가 보다 적극적으로 가격 상승을 억제하는 역할을 해달라"고 말했다.
