12일 'IB 관심학교' 공모 설명회 열어

[서울=뉴시스] 양소리 기자 = 서울시교육청이 IB(국제 바칼로레아) 프로그램 설명회를 실시하고 IB 관심학교를 공모한다.

교육청은 12일 'IB 프로그램 및 IB 관심학교 공모 설명회'를 디노체 컨벤션(성동구 왕십리 소재)에서 진행한다고 11일 밝혔다.설명회 대상은 초·중·고 교원 및 교육전문직원 200여 명이다.

설명회에서는 서울시교육청의 IB 프로그램 운영 정책과 방향을 설명하고 IB 후보학교 사례를 공유할 예정이다.

올해 하반기 'IB 관심학교' 운영을 희망하는 초·중학교는 이달 15일부터 23일까지 서울시교육청에 신청하면 된다.교육청은 신청학교를 대상으로 심사를 완료하고 9월부터 IB 관심학교를 운영할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.

조희연 서울시교육감은 "현장 중심 자발적인 IB 학교 운영을 통해 학교가 미래 역량 중심의 교육활동을 실천할 수 있도록 지원할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

IB는 스위스에 본부를 둔 비영리 교육재단인 IBO에서 개발·운영하는 국제 인증 교육 프로그램이다.IB 학교의 수업은 프로젝트형·토론형으로 진행되며 평가는 논술형·절대평가 체제로 이뤄진다.

교육청은 IB도입의 궁극적인 목표는 "서울 미래형 학교교육체제인 한국형 바칼로레아(KB)를 구형하는 것"이라며 "학습자의 자기 주도적 성장을 추구하는 탐구형 수업,군대 도박생각하고 표현하는 힘을 키우는 서술·논술형 평가 체제,군대 도박교수·학습 중심의 협력적 학교 운영을 모델화하고자 한다"고 했다.
