전국에서 전기차 보급률이 가장 높은 제주도가,공용 급속충전기의 충전율을 80% 이하로 제한하는 방안을 검토하고 있습니다.

하지만 이런 방안이 시행되더라도,다이소 포커칩제주도 내 전체 충전기의 5% 정도만 해당된다고 합니다.

제주의 한 아파트.

전기차를 지상에 주차해달라는 권고 안내문이 붙었습니다.

잇단 전기차 화재로 불안하다는 입주민 민원이 접수됐기 때문입니다.

[아파트 관리사무소 관계자/음성변조 : "(입주민들이 전기차) 주차금지나 조치를 취해야 하는 거 아니냐 했는데.법적으로 아직 규정이 되어있는 게 아니기 때문에 주차금지까지 할 수 있는 권한이 아무것도 없잖아요."]

제주도는 우선 공용 급속충전기의 충전율을 80% 이하로 제한하는 대책을 검토 중입니다.

충전기 프로그램을 조작해,충전율이 80%에 도달하면 전류 공급을 자동 차단하겠다는 겁니다.

[김필수/대림대 자동차학과 교수 : "과충전 예방만 하더라도 전기차 화재를 상당 부분 줄일 수 있다는 측면에서 적극적인 지자체의 의지가 필요한 시점이라고 볼 수가 있습니다."]

하지만 제주지역 공용 충전기 8천여 기 가운데 제주도 소유의 급속충전기는 420여 기에 불과합니다.

민간 소유의 충전기는 80% 제한을 강제할 수 없어,권고에 의존해야 하는 실정입니다.

차주들은 100% 충전을 못할 경우 운행에 어려움을 겪을까 걱정하고 있습니다.

[문정미/제주시 오라3동 : "(여름철) 에어컨을 사용하게 되면,다이소 포커칩다른 차량에 비교를 해봤을 때 전기차는 특히 (운행 가능한) 킬로 수가 많이 내려가거든요.아무래도 불안감이 있어서…."]

또,제주 지역 공공주택에는 대부분 완속 충전기가 설치돼 있어,다이소 포커칩과충전을 막으려면 이용자가 직접 전력 공급을 차단해야 하는 불편을 감수해야 합니다.
