조지호 서울경찰청장은 이날 정례 기자간담회에서 "민 대표 조사에서 확인할 내용을 다 확인하지 못했다"며 "추가로 조사가 필요할 것 같다"고 말했다.

민 대표는 지난 9일 서울 용산경찰서에 출석해 피고발인 자격으로 조사를 받았다.

당시 민 대표는 조사를 마치고 나오면서 업무상 배임 혐의를 부인하냐는 취재진 질문에 "당연하다"며 "배임일 수가 없는 일이고 제 입장에서는 코미디 같은 일"이라고 말했다.

앞서 연예기획사 하이브는 지난 4월 자회사인 어도어의 민 대표를 업무상 배임 혐의로 고발했다.

하이브는 민 대표가 어도어 경영권 탈취를 계획했다며 이를 뒷받침할만한 관련자 진술과 물증을 확보했다고 주장했다.민 대표 측은 지분 구조상 경영권 찬탈이 불가능하다며 회사 가치를 훼손하는 행위를 시도하는 등 배임을 저지른 사실이 없다고 반박했다.
