애플이 지난달 WWDC(연례 개발자 회의) 2024에서 공개한 자체 인공지능(AI) 시스템 '애플 인텔리전스'가 일부 유료화될 것이라는 전망이 제기됐다.

1일(현지시간) 블룸버그통신에 따르면 애플 인텔리전스는 처음에는 무료로 제공되지만,120메리스트릿장기적으로는 월 이용료를 내고 이용할 수 있는 추가 기능이 포함된 '애플 인텔리전스 플러스'와 같은 서비스가 출시될 예정이다.

자체 AI 기능을 또 다른 서비스 수익원으로 만들면 하드웨어 업그레이드 속도가 느려지는 것을 보완하고 하드웨어 조정에 대한 의존도를 낮출 것으로 보인다.

애플은 사용자가 오픈AI의 챗GPT와 같은 AI 파트너가 제공하는 기능에 가입할 때마다 수익의 일부를 받을 것으로 예상된다.

블룸버그는 애플이 구글,120메리스트릿앤트로픽과 계약을 맺어 자사 기기를 통해 AI 서비스를 제공할 것으로 예상했다.

한편,애플 인텔리전스는 올 가을 iOS 18,120메리스트릿아이패드OS 18,macOS Sequoia에 미국 영어 베타 버전으로 공개될 예정이다.
