최상목 경제부총리가 상속세를 시급히 손봐야 할 세법으로 꼽았습니다.

최상목 경제부총리 겸 기재부장관은 세제 개편 논의에서 제일 시급한 것으로 상속세를 지목했습니다.

"현재의 제도 자체가 한 20년 이상 개편이 되어 있지 않기 때문에 이런 부분에 대해서 좀 저희가 합리적으로 개편을 해야 된다(인식을 갖고 있습니다.)"

최 부총리는 또 최대주주 할증과 가업 상속공제,플러스 카지노 가입 쿠폰유산취득세 전환 등을 언급하면서 "시급한 것과 아닌 것을 가려서 의견을 청취하겠다"고 밝혔습니다.

이런 내용은 다음 달 예정된 세법 개정안에 반영될 것으로 보입니다.

최고세율을 낮추는 문제에 대해선 과도한 부분을 완화해야 한다는 입장에 동의하지만 세법 개정안에 포함할지는 미정이라고 밝혔습니다.

최 부총리는 또 종합부동산세와 관련해 "이번 정부 들어 부담이 완화됐지만 전체적인 체계 등 개선할 부분이 많다"고 언급했습니다.

감세로 인해 세수가 줄었다는 지적에 대해선 "재정 여건이 나쁘니 증세해야 한다고 말할 수 있지만 그것만이 답은 아니"라고 말했습니다.

또 기업 밸류업 정책과 관련해 "주주 배당이나 자사주 소각 등 주주 환원 행위에 대해 어떻게 세금을 낮춰줄지가 문제"라고 설명했습니다.

최 부총리는 전기·가스요금에 대해선 최대한 안정적으로 관리하되 불가피한 경우 인상하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔습니다.
