울산지법 형사1단독 이성 부장판사는 도로교통법 위반 혐의로 재판에 넘겨진 A씨에게 징역 1년을 선고했다고 30일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난해 10월 오후 울산 한 도로에서 운전하다가 신호대기 중인 B씨 차량을 들이받고 그대로 도주했다.

B씨가 A씨를 추격하면서 경찰에 신고했고,크리스털 팰리스 대 토트넘결국 경찰관이 출동해 붙잡았다.

이 과정에서 운전자인 A씨에게 술 냄새가 나고 발음이 부정확해 음주 측정을 요구했으나 이를 거부했다.

경찰 확인 결과,크리스털 팰리스 대 토트넘A씨는 이미 음주운전으로 벌금형,크리스털 팰리스 대 토트넘징역형의 집행유예,크리스털 팰리스 대 토트넘실형 등 모두 5차례 처벌받은 전력이 있는 것으로 확인됐다.

재판부는 “피고인은 수년 전 음주 뺑소니 사건으로 실형을 선고받았으면서 또 범행을 저질러 재범 위험성이 크다”고 선고 이유를 밝혔다.
