(부산=연합뉴스) 조정호 기자 = 부산시는 내년 하반기에 자율주행자동차 시범운행지구로 지정된 오시리아 관광단지 일원에서 '자율주행 셔틀버스'를 운행한다고 28일 밝혔다.

시는 총사업비 94억원을 투입해 오시리아 관광단지 내 총길이 4.75㎞에 달하는 6개 도로에서 '자율주행 셔틀버스' 4대를 운행할 계획이다.

'자율주행 셔틀버스'는 탑승객 안전성 확보를 위해 시험운전자가 탑승해 시스템 요청 시 운전자가 개입하는 방식으로 운행된다.

운행구간에는 차량과 도로 관제를 위한 정밀지도 기반 관제 플랫폼과 신호 상태,돌발,보행자 정보를 수집·제공하는 스마트 도로를 구축해 자율주행 셔틀버스 안전 운행을 지원한다.

시는 시뮬레이션,야구 공 스틸 중학생테스트베드,시운전,야구 공 스틸 중학생시범운행 등을 거쳐 2025년 하반기 자율주행 여객 서비스 시행을 목표로 한다.

시는 경쟁입찰을 거쳐 'LG유플러스 컨소시엄'을 사업자로 선정했다.

오는 7월에 용역을 착수해 내년 12월까지 18개월 동안 오시리아 관광단지 일원에 자율주행 서비스를 위한 기반 시설 조성,시범운행,서비스 운영 등을 수행한다.

국토교통부는 2022년 11월 부산 기장군 오시리아 관광단지를 '자율주행자동차 시범운행지구'로 지정했고,시는 같은 해 12월 시범운행지구 운영을 위한 관련 조례를 제정했다.
