26일 인천시 상수도사업본부에 따르면 전날 오후 2시께부터 연수구 송도동 일대 상수도관에 불순물이 유입돼 살수차 등을 보내 식수를 지원했다.

해당 상수도관은 지난 20일 새벽 파열돼 누수 발생을 일으켜 긴급 복구됐지만 통수 재개 과정에서 다시 문제를 일으킨 것으로 알려졌다.

아파트마다 자체 저수조에 보관된 생활용수를 사용할 수 있기는 했지만 저수조 물량이 떨어지는 사례가 잇따라 식수 지원이 이뤄지는 상황이다.

일부 아파트 단지에서는 식수 공급을 받기 위해 긴 줄이 형성되는 진풍경도 펼쳐졌다.

송도 온라인 카페에는 “마트에 생수가 품절됐다”,슬로스킵펜션“생수 대란이 벌어지고 있다”는 글도 올라오는 것으로 전해졌다.

상수도사업본부 관계자는 “오늘 안으로 안정화 작업을 진행할 예정이었으나 지연되고 있는 상황”이라며 “수돗물 정상 공급을 위해 최대한 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
