(밀워키[미 위스콘신주]=연합뉴스) 조준형 특파원 = 지난 13일(현지시간) 유세 도중 총격을 받아 부상한 도널드 트럼프 전 미국 대통령이 예정대로 14일 오후 공화당 전당대회가 열리는 위스콘신주 밀워키로 이동한다고 밝혔다.

트럼프 전 대통령은 이날 사회관계망서비스(SNS) 트루스소셜에 올린 글에서 "어제의 끔찍한 일로 인해 내 위스콘신 방문과 공화당 전당대회(15~18일) 일정을 이틀 연기하려 했으나 나는 '총격범' 또는 암살 용의자가 일정표나 다른 어떤 것을 강제로 바꾸게 할 수는 없다"고 적었다.

트럼프 전 대통령은 이어 "그래서 나는 당초 계획대로 밀워키로 오후 3시30분에 출발할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.

트럼프 전 대통령은 전대 마지막 날인 오는 18일 대선 후보 수락 연설을 할 예정이다.

당초 18일에 임박해 현장을 방문할 수 있다는 관측도 제기됐으나 전대 개막 전날 현지에 도착하게 됨에 따라 그가 전대 중간부터 행사에 참가할 가능성이 있어 보인다.
