귀농·귀어 인구가 2년 연속 줄어들었다.은퇴한 50·60대 인구가 귀농·귀어보다 도시 재취업을 택하는 사례가 늘었기 때문으로 풀이된다.

25일 통계청과 농림축산식품부,해양수산부가 공동으로 발표한 '2023년 귀농어·귀촌인 통계'에 따르면 지난해 귀농·귀촌·귀어 가구는 총 31만7464가구로 전년보다 4.4% 줄었다.귀농·귀촌·귀어 가구가 각각 17.0%,부산 대 경남3.9%,부산 대 경남24.7% 줄었다.귀농·귀어 가구의 감소율은 사상 최대치를 기록했다.최재혁 통계청 농어업통계과장은 "귀농을 주도하는 50·60대에서 도시 취업자가 늘어난 영향"이라며 "코로나19가 종식된 영향도 있다"고 설명했다.한편 귀농 가구 중 1인 가구는 76.8%,2인 가구는 16.8%였다.
