[서울=뉴시스] 장한지 기자 = 고위공직자범죄수사처 검사가 '도이치모터스 주가조작' 사건의 공범을 변호했던 이력이 있었던 것으로 드러나 자진회피 신청을 한 것으로 파악됐다.

11일 법조계에 따르면 공수처 수사검사 A씨는 도이치모터스 주가조작 사건의 공범인 투자자문사 블랙펄인베스트의 전 대표인 이종호씨의 변호를 맡았던 사실을 뒤늦게 파악하고 자신회피 신청했다.

A씨는 해당 사건 검찰 수사 단계에서 이씨의 변호인으로 선임됐던 것으로 전해졌다.

이씨는 권오수 전 도이치모터스 회장 등과 함께 지난 2009년 12월부터 약 3년간 도이치모터스 주가를 인위적으로 부양한 혐의로 재판에 넘겨져 1심에서 징역 2년에 집행유예 3년을 선고받은 인물이다.

일각에서는 '임성근 구하기' 배경에 윤석열 대통령의 부인 김건희 여사와 특수관계인 이씨가 있는 것 아니냐는 의혹을 제기되고 있다.

공수처 관계자는 "해당 수사검사는 사건과 관련된 분을 조사하기 전까지는 이씨에 대한 수사내용을 알지 못했다.그 사실을 알고서 회피신청을 했다"며 "그 외 다른 내용에 대해서는 수사가 진행 중이므로 확인해드리기 어렵다"고 밝혔다．
