헬스장 20대 남성 성범죄 입건 논란을 빚은 경기 화성동탄경찰서에 대해 경기남부경찰청이 조사에 나섰습니다.

경기남부경찰청은 경기 화성동탄경찰서 여성청소년과가 맡아 처리한 모든 사건에 대한 전수조사를 통해 무리한 수사 관행이나 부적절한 언행이 있었는지 확인할 방침이라고 밝혔습니다.

경찰은 또 해당 사건 담당 수사관 등을 대상으로 진행 중인 감찰 조사 결과에 따라 관련자들에게 상응한 조치를 할 예정입니다.

앞서 화성동탄경찰서는 지난달 23일 아파트 헬스장 여자 화장실에서 50대 여성을 훔쳐 본 혐의로 20대 남성을 입건했습니다.

하지만 이 남성은 유튜브에 "남자 화장실을 다녀왔다가 성범죄자로 몰렸다"는 내용의 영상을 올리며 억울함을 호소했습니다.

결국 피해를 신고했던 여성이 지난달 27일 "허위 신고를 했다"며 경찰에 자백하면서,야구투수 조상우경찰은 지난달 28일 남성의 성범죄 입건을 취소한 뒤 여성을 무고 혐의로 입건해 논란이 일었습니다.
