[서울=뉴시스]황재희 기자 = 국내 바이오기업 차바이오텍 자회사인 마티카바이오랩스가 제약바이오 컨벤션 행사에 참가해 세포·유전자치료제(CGT) CDMO(위탁개발생산) 역량을 소개한다.

마티카바이오랩스는 오는 10일부터 12일까지 코엑스에게 개최되는‘바이오플러스-인터펙스 코리아 2024’(이하 BIX 2024)에 참가한다고 6일 밝혔다.

BIX 2024는 국내외 바이오·제약산업의 밸류체인을 공유하고,비즈니스 네트워킹으로 글로벌 시장 진출의 발판을 마련하는 국내 최대 규모의 제약바이오 컨벤션이다.

마티카바이오랩스는 CGT CDMO 전문 기업으로,2018년 차바이오텍에서 분할돼 설립됐다.차바이오랩에서 최근 사명을 변경했다.

이번 BIX 2024 참가를 계기로 변경된 사명을 알리고,안양 대 경남그동안 쌓아온 CGT CDMO 역량을 홍보할 계획이다.또 글로벌 바이오기업 및 잠재 파트너사와 비즈니스 네트워킹을 구축할 예정이다.

마티카바이오랩스는 면역세포,안양 대 경남줄기세포,안양 대 경남엑소좀 등 9개의 세포주를 1000 배치 이상 생산한 경험을 바탕으로 CGT 상업화의 핵심인 AD(분석개발),안양 대 경남PD(공정개발)에 특화된 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

차바이오텍은 최근 미국,안양 대 경남일본,안양 대 경남한국에 소규모부터 대규모까지 유연한 생산이 가능한 글로벌 5개 사이트 CGT CDMO 네트워크를 구축한 바 있다.5개 사이트 중 한 곳인 마티카바이오랩스는 각 사이트별 특장점을 공유하는 유기적인 운영에 나선다.

마티카바이오랩스 장원규 대표는 “BIX 2024를 시작으로 마티카바이오랩스 브랜드와 기술력을 국내외 파트너사들에게 널리 소개할 계획”이라며 “앞으로도 국내외 제약·바이오 전시회에 참여해 잠재 파트너사와 비즈니스 네트워킹을 강화하고 수주를 늘려갈 예정”이라고 말했다.

한편 마티카바이오랩스는 임상 등급 세포치료제와 국내 상업용 세포치료제를 생산할 수 있는 GMP(우수의약품제조품질관리기준) 시설을 보유하고 있다.2021년 국내 최초로 ▲첨단바이오의약품 제조업 허가 ▲인체세포등 관리업 허가 ▲세포처리시설 허가 등 CDMO사업과 CGT 연구·개발에 필요한 3가지 허가를 취득했다.

2019년에는 일본 PMDA(의약품의료기기종합기구)의 실사를 통과해 의약품제조시설인증을 획득함으로써 일본 시장에도 의약품을 공급할 수 있다．
