65세 이상 고령인구 비율이 20%를 넘어서는 '초고령사회'에 본격적으로 진입하게 됐다.

행정안전부는 10일 기준 65세 이상 주민등록인구가 1천만62명으로,2016년 9월 17일 야구 경기일정전체 주민등록인구 5천126만9천12명의 19.51%를 차지한다고 11일 밝혔다.

65세 이상 주민등록인구 중 남자는 442만7천682명,여자는 557만2천380명이다.여자가 남자보다 114만4천698명 더 많다.

65세 이상 주민등록인구 중 수도권 거주 인구는 448만9천828명,비수도권은 551만234명으로 비수도권이 수도권보다 102만406명 더 많다.

수도권은 권역 내 전체 주민등록인구 2천604만284명 중 17.24%,2016년 9월 17일 야구 경기일정비수도권은 전체 주민등록인구 2천522만8천728명 중 21.84%를 65세 이상이 차지했다.

65세 이상 주민등록인구 비율을 시도별로 보면 전남이 26.67%로 가장 높았다.

이어 경북(25.35%),강원(24.72%),전북(24.68%),부산(23.28%),충남(21.80%),충북(21.42%),2016년 9월 17일 야구 경기일정경남(21.25%),대구(20.26%) 순이었다.

가장 낮은 곳은 세종 11.32%로,서울은 18.96%였다.

65세 이상 주민등록인구는 2013년 1월 600만8천757명(11.79%)으로 600만명대에 진입한 뒤 2017년 1월 703만1천367명(13.60%),2019년 12월 802만6천915명(15.48%),2022년 4월 900만4천388명(17.45%)으로 갈수록 늘어나고 있다.
