기획재정부가 우리나라의 세계국채지수(WBGI) 편입을 위해 일본 주요 연기금,슬롯 나라 찐자산운용사 및 신탁은행을 만나 투자설명회를 진행했다.

7일 기재부에 따르면 김윤상 기재부 2차관은 4~5일 일본 도쿄를 방문해 일본 투자자 설명회를 주재했다.4일은 일본 공적연금(GPIF)과 일본 기업연금연합회(PFA)를,슬롯 나라 찐5일은 미쯔비시 UFJ AM·다이와 AM 등 9개 자산운용사와 미즈호 신탁은행,노무라 신탁은행 등 4개 신탁은행과 라운드테이블을 열었다.

김 차관은 우리나라가 건조한 경기 회복세에 있으며 재정건정성과 국고채 유동성이 양호하다는 점을 강조하며 외국인 투자자들의 국채시장 접근성을 높이기 위해 많은 제도 개선을 추진하고 있다는 점을 설명했다.앞서 기재부는 1월부터 외국인의 국채투자에 비과세 혜택을 주는가 하면 외환시장 거래 시간을 새벽 2시까지 연장하는 등의 조치를 취해왔다.

투자설명회 및 라운드테이블에 참석한 일본 연기금과 금융기관들은 한국 정부가 추진하고 있는 외환시장 구조개선 노력에 큰 관심을 보인 것으로 알려졌다.
