졸스는 뷰티 브랜드 화장품과 소비자를 직접 연결하는 글로벌 화장품 온라인 쇼핑몰로,유통사 바른손이 운영 중이다.현재 졸스는 250여 개의 상품을 180여 개 국가에 판매 중이며,테그호이어포뮬러1국내 중소기업의 상품들이 글로벌 시장에 진출할 수 있도록 돕는 온라인 플랫폼으로 알려져 있다.

플리토는 AI 번역 엔진과 OCR(광학문자인식) 기술을 활용해 플랫폼‘졸스’에서 판매하는 상품별 소개 이미지를 영어,베트남어 등 다국어로 번역하는 서비스를 제공하기로 했다.이 서비스는 플리토가 자체 개발한 AI OCR 번역 시스템을 통해 제공되며,테그호이어포뮬러1원본 콘텐츠의 글자 배치·배경·색감 등을 그대로 보존하면서 번역 작업을 진행해 상품의 고유 디자인과 감성을 유지하는 장점을 가지고 있다.번역된 이미지는‘졸스’전용 모바일 앱과 웹 사이트에 순차적으로 적용될 예정이다.

플리토의 AI 이미지 번역 서비스는 디자인을 위한 별도의 작업 없이 시간과 비용 측면에서 효율성이 높아 글로벌 확장을 원하는 이커머스 기업들의 현지화 사업에 유용할 것으로 기대된다.
