"개인의 입장에서 참배한 것으로 이해하며 정부의 견해를 말씀드릴 사안은 아닌 것으로 인식합니다."

일본 현직 방위상이 야스쿠니 신사를 참배한 건 지난 2021년 이후 3년 만입니다.

이에 대해 우리 외교부 당국자는 기하라 방위상의 신사 참배는 시대착오적인 행위라며 개탄을 금할 수 없다고 밝혔습니다.

극우 성향의 일본 국민들이 점점 늘어나면서 일본 정치인들도 눈치 보지 않고 당당하게 야스쿠니 신사 참배에 나서고 있습니다.
