충북대병원은 지난 14일 오후 2시부터 이날 오전 8시30분까지 18시간30분간 응급실 운영을 일시 중단했다.응급의학과 전문의 6명 중 2명이 최근 병가를 떠나며 24시간 응급실 운영이 어려워진 것이다.

보건복지부는 보도 설명자료를 통해 충북대병원 응급실이 이날 오전 9시부터 다시 운영 중이라고 알렸다.또 "충북대병원 병가를 낸 응급의학과 전문의 1명이 복귀했고,mke 앙카라귀쥐휴직한 1명도 8월 말 복귀 예정"이라고 전했다.

복지부는 "정부는 응급의료 현장 상황을 감안해 군의관 파견을 현재 200명에서 다음 주부터 약 50명을 추가할 계획"이라고 했다.그러면서 "추가 파견되는 군의관 중 응급의학과 전문의를 충북대병원에 우선 파견할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

복지부는 군의관과 공보의의 인력 상황을 감안해 유사 진료과목 전문의라도 부족한 곳에 우선 배치하겠다고 부연했다.

복지부는 "지방자치단체 및 관계기관과 협력해 전국 응급실 운영 현황을 모니터링하고 군의관·공보의 파견을 통해 응급실 진료 공백이 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 했다.
