[4일 오전 전북 정읍 JB금융그룹 아우름캠퍼스에서 제12회 호남권 정책협의회가 열리고 있다.(사진=연합뉴스)] 충청권과 대구·경북의 통합,soro부·울·경 메가시티가 추진되고 있는 가운데 전북특별지치도와 광주시,soro전남도 등 호남권 3개 광역지자체가 4일 '메가시티 경제동맹'에 합의했습니다. 이는 '행정통합'의 전단계로 받아들여집니다.
이날 전북 정읍에서 열린 호남권 정책협의회에서는 초광역 교통망 협력을 골자로 한 경제동맹에 이어 행정통합도 여러 번 언급됐습니다.
김영록 전남도지사는 "결국은 우리의 지방자치도 독일식 연방주처럼 50대 50으로 국세와 지방세를 배정받는 그러한 재정 분권이 이뤄져야 한다"며 "전남과 전북이 하나의 경제동맹 틀에서 연방주처럼 발전하면 더 큰 기회를 맞을 수 있다"고 말했습니다.
강기정 광주시장은 "호남권 경제동맹,메가시티는 교통과 경제에 대한 동맹"이라며 "경제와 교통의 동맹을 통해 궁극적으로 행정통합까지 나가야 할 것 같다"고 밝혔습니다.
