카카오엔터프라이즈는 '카카오크라우드 서밋 2024'를 성공적으로 개최했다고 2일 밝혔다.

지난달 28일 경기창조경제혁신센터에서 열린 이번 행사는 카카오클라우드가 처음으로 단독 개최했다.카카오그룹사 개발자를 대상으로 실시됐으며 사전 신청자는 400여명이었지만 당일 현장에는 500여명가량이 참석했다.

이어형 카카오엔터프라이즈 최고기술책임자(CTO)는 기조연설을 통해 2023년 9월 카카오클라우드로 서비스명을 변경하면서 클라우드 기술 개발에 역량을 집중해 ▲고성능 및 저비용 ▲확장성 ▲보안성이 3가지 경쟁력을 갖게 됐다고 강조했다.

그러면서 해외 CSP(클라우드제공사업자)와 견줄 수 있는 성능이면서도 더 저렴한 가격,생계형 바카라다중 가용 영역 등을 이용해 높은 안정성과 유연성을 보유하고 있다고도 했다.아울러 국내 필수 정보보호 및 보안 인증을 비롯해,국제 클라우드 보안 인증까지 갖췄다는 설명이다.

이번 행사에선 카카오클라우드가 AMD와 함께 개발한 스마트NIC의 설계 도면과 동작하는 논리 공개 등이 이어졌다.또 컴퓨팅 서비스인 BCS(Beyond Compute Service),네트워크 인프라 스트럭처 등 기술 세션도 높은 호응을 얻었다.

이어형 CTO는 "해외 CSP와 견주어도 부족함 없는 클라우드 기술과 기능을 개발하고자 오랜 기간 노력한 결과물을 그룹사 크루에게 공개할 수 있어 보람을 느낀다"라며 "카카오그룹의 뉴이니셔티브인 클라우드 기술 개발에 모든 역량을 집중해 글로벌 톱 10 진입을 목표로 끊임없이 경주해 나갈 것"이라고 했다.

한편,생계형 바카라이번 행사에는 글로벌 기업이 카카오클라우드와의 협업을 바탕으로 발표도 진행했다.AMD는 '카카오클라우드와의 공동 개발 사례' 및 '인공지능(AI) 데이터센터,고성능 컴퓨팅에 필수 솔루션'에 대해 발표했다.델테크놀로지스는 '기업 고객들의 다양한 워크로드에 적합한 주문자위탁생산(OEM) 솔루션 역량' 등에 대해 설명했다.
