(경주=연합뉴스) 이승형 기자 = 주낙영 경주시장은 4일 "내년 APEC 정상회의를 가장 아름답고 완벽하게 치르고 연간 관광객 5천만명 시대를 열겠다"고 밝혔다.

주 시장은 이날 시청 알천홀에서 민선 8기 출범 2주년 간담회를 열고 "정부 APEC 준비 기획단에 발맞춰 '경북 경주 APEC 준비 지원단'을 조기에 구성,슬롯 온라인 무료 라이브러리회의장과 숙박시설,슬롯 온라인 무료 라이브러리미디어 등 최적의 인프라를 구축하고 의전,수송,슬롯 온라인 무료 라이브러리의료 등 최고 수준의 운영 서비스를 제공하겠다"고 말했다.

또 "지난해 연간 4천768만명이 지역을 다녀가 이제 경주는 관광객 5천만명 시대를 눈앞에 두고 있다"며 "관광객 5천만명 시대를 열기 위해 14개 신라 왕경 핵심 유적 복원·정비와 디지털 복원,세계유산탐방 거점센터 건립 등을 추진해 찬란했던 신라의 옛 모습을 구현하겠다"고 강조했다.

이어 미래 성장 동력으로 소형모듈원자로(SMR) 국가산업단지,문무대왕과학연구소,중수로 해체기술원,글로벌 원자력 공동캠퍼스 사업을 소개하고 역사 문화도시 기반 위에 원전 중심 과학산업 도시로의 변화를 꾀하고 있다고 설명했다.

주 시장은 이와 함께 저출생 대책 63개 사업과 신 형산강 프로젝트,황성공원 제모습 찾기,도시바람 숲 조성,환경 통합관제센터 설치,슬롯 온라인 무료 라이브러리중소기업 및 소상공인 지원,민생경제 살리기에 힘을 쏟을 방침이라고 덧붙였다.

그는 지난 2년간 핵심 성과로는 APEC 정상회의 유치와 예산 2조원 시대 개막,e-모빌리티 연구단지 건립 등 미래 산업 기반을 구축한 것과 해양레저 관광거점을 조성한 것을 꼽았다.

주 시장은 "역대 가장 성공적인 APEC 정상회의가 될 수 있도록 철저히 준비하겠다"며 "시민들이 유치 운동 때와 같이 한마음 한뜻으로 다시 뭉쳐달라"고 말했다.
