전북 익산에 엠티(MT)를 갔다가 실종된 20대 의대생이 숨진 채 발견됐다.실종된 지 약 55시간 만이다.

12일 전북경찰청에 따르면 이날 오전 11시 11분쯤 익산천 창평교 인근에서 A씨의 시신이 발견됐다.경찰 관계자는 "실종자와 시신 지문이 일치하는 것으로 확인됐다"고 말했다.

전북의 한 의대생인 A씨는 익산시 금마면의 한 펜션으로 동아리 MT를 갔다가 지난 10일 오전 4시쯤 담배를 사러 밖으로 나간 뒤 실종됐다.

당시 전북은 기록적인 폭우로 도로 일부가 침수되는 등 피해가 나온 상황이었다.

A씨와 함께 동아리 MT를 간 학교 대학생 20여명은 술을 마시다가 잠든 것으로 알려졌다.

이후 잠에서 깬 지인들은 A씨가 자리에 없는 것을 확인하고 같은 날 오전 11시쯤 "새벽에 친구가 숙소 밖으로 나갔는데 연락이 안 된다"고 112에 신고했다.

경찰은 익산천 수풀에서 A씨의 신발을 발견하고 하천 주변을 집중적으로 수색했다.

경찰은 국립과학수사원에 시신 부검을 의뢰하고 정확한 사망 원인을 조사할 예정이다.
