[용인=뉴시스] 이준구 기자 = 단국대가 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신기획평가원이 주관하는 2024년도 학·석사연계 ICT핵심인재양성사업에 총 2개 사업단이 선정됐다고 11일 밝혔다.

사업 선정에 따라 단국대는 오는 2028년까지 5년간 각 11억2500만원을 지원받아 Edge AI와 차세대 의료AI 분야의 ICT 석·박사급 핵심인재 양성에 나선다.

김현진 교수(전자전기공학과)를 주축으로 하는 Edge용 초저비용 AI 시스템 ICT융합인재 사업단은‘엣지(Edge) AI 전문가’를 양성한다.엣지 AI는‘온 디바이스 AI’라고도 하는데 AI 알고리즘이 기기에서 생성한 데이터를 사용해 직접 실행하는 분산형 컴퓨팅 패러다임이다.

사업단은 2025학년도부터 대학원에 ▲기계학습과 인공신경망 ▲Edge AI 시스템 구조 등 AI와 Edge 컴퓨팅 관련 교과목을 개설,여자 야구점퍼전공 및 비전공 학생에게도 수업을 개방한다.

차세대 의료 AI 진단 시스템 전문가 양성사업단은 최상일 교수(대학원 인공지능융합학과)를 중심으로 인공지능을 활용한 의료 진단 시스템 전문가를 육성한다.

안순철 총장은 “기업과 대학이 연계한 실무 교육과정 운영을 통해 미래 ICT 유망 기술분야 석·박사급 핵심 인력 양성에 박차를 가할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
