[서울=뉴시스] 오정우 기자 = 지난달 서울 강서구에서 맨홀 공사 도중 노동자가 추락해 숨진 사고와 관련해 수사 기관이 공사 수주 업체 대표를 입건해 조사 중인 것으로 드러났다.

서울지방고용노동청은 중대재해처벌등에 관한 법률,승비니산업안전보건법 위반 혐의로 맨홀 공사를 수주한 업체 대표 방모(44)씨를 수사 중이라고 15일 밝혔다.

앞서 지난달 25일 서울 강서구 마곡동에서 맨홀 공사를 하던 50대 남성 A씨가 5m 깊이의 맨홀 아래로 떨어지는 사고가 발생했다.

당시 A씨는 심폐소생술을 받으며 근처 병원으로 옮겨졌으나 끝내 숨졌다.

김민석 서울 강서구의회 의원은 방씨가 구청과 계약을 맺고 맨홀 공사를 수주한 것으로 파악했다.

이에 김 의원이 '방씨가 맨홀 작업에 투입되는 근로자 위험을 예방하기 위해 필요한 조치를 취하지 않았다'는 내용으로 지난 3일 고발장을 제출한 것으로 확인됐다.

서울지방고용노동청은 다음 주 김 의원을 고발인 신분으로 조사할 예정이다．
