마이크 존슨 미국 연방 하원의장(공화·루이지애나)은 러시아에 물자를 제공하는 중국 기업 등에 대한 제재 입법에 나설 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

존슨 의장은 의원들이 중국에 맞서기 위한 모든 가용한 수단을 사용해야 한다며 "우리는 중국으로 가는 투자를 제한하는 옵션들도 고려할 것"이라고 설명했습니다.

아울러 차기 행정부가 출범과 동시에 적성 국가의 경제에 타격을 줄 수 있도록 하는 일련의 법안에 대해서도 표결에 나설 것이라고 존슨 의장은 덧붙였습니다.

존슨 의장은 또 "앞으로 우리가 유럽의 우리 친구(동맹국)들이 미국의 지원에 덜 의존할 수 있게 하는 '자급자족'형 군수산업 기지를 설립하도록 촉진할 수 있기를 희망한다"고 말했습니다.
