물을 계속 마셔봐도 50도 넘는 폭염은 견디기 쉽지 않습니다.

[하다 사일라/모로코 순례객/하지 기간 17일 : "어제 길을 가다가 거리에서 시신을 봤습니다.하얀 천으로 덮여서 길거리에 있었습니다.온도가 너무 높아서 그래요."]

이슬람 정기 순례 하지 기간 내내 이 같은 폭염이 이어지면서 사망자도 속출했습니다.

사우디아라비아 당국은 이 기간 온열 질환으로 1,더존 카지노300여 명이 숨졌다고 집계했습니다.

올해 처음 발표된 사우디의 공식 집계로 지난해 사망자보다 6배 많은 수치입니다.
