개회사를 연 박종철 카카오엔터 스토리사업 부문 대표는 스토리 사업 방향성으로 ▲카카오페이지,카카오웹툰 양 플랫폼 간 시너지를 위한 오리지널 웹툰 경쟁력 강화 ▲지식재산권(IP)의 글로벌 공급과 2차 창작을 위한 적극적인 지원 ▲'헬릭스' 인공지능(AI) 적용 확대를 통한 플랫폼 운영 전략 고도화를 꼽았다.

박 대표는 "지난해 4분기 기점으로 성장 추세로 돌아선 카카오엔터 스토리 부문은 올해 IP와 플랫폼,운영 등 조직을 통합하여 추진력을 높이고 있다"며 "다음웹툰 시절부터 오랜 시간 작가들과 함께 만들어온 유수의 콘텐츠를 바탕으로 더 큰 도약을 만들겠다"는 포부를 전했다.
