[디지털데일리 이나연기자] NHN벅스 음악 큐레이션 브랜드로 알려진 에센셜(essential;)이 해외 시장에 진출한다.
NHN벅스는 LG전자와 제휴를 맺고 LG채널에 essential; 플레이리스트를 감상할 수 있는 FAST(Free Ad Supported Streaming,광고 기반 무료 스트리밍 서비스) 채널을 글로벌 출시했다고 2일 밝혔다.
양사 협력에 따라 LG전자 글로벌 콘텐츠 스트리밍 플랫폼인 LG채널에서 NHN벅스 essential; 채널이 운영된다.한국을 비롯해 일본,인도,월드컵 별호주,월드컵 별멕시코,월드컵 별브라질,월드컵 별아르헨티나,월드컵 별칠레,월드컵 별콜롬비아,페루 등 글로벌 10개국에 서비스된다.essential; 해외 서비스는 이번이 처음이다.
국내 경우 essential; 채널 번호는 이달 한 달간 141번이며,다음 달부터는 700번에서 시청 가능하다.
LG 스마트 TV 이용자는 별도 가입이나 구독료 없이 essential; 채널을 선택해 플레이리스트를 감상하고,특유의 감성 배경을 통해 공간을 꾸밀 수 있다.
NHN벅스는 “LG전자와 협력해 essential; 채널 서비스 국가를 순차적으로 추가 확대할 예정”이라며 “여러 주제별로 적합한 분위기 플레이리스트를 구성해 제공하면서 다양한 국적 이용자 음악 취향을 충족시킬 것”이라고 말했다.
