(서울=연합뉴스) 김희선 기자 = GS건설이 서울시교육청과 손잡고 저소득층과 맞벌이 가정을 위한 방과 후 돌봄교실 조성사업에 나선다.

GS건설은 10일 서울시교육청에서 허윤홍 대표와 조희연 서울시 교육감 등이 참석한 가운데 'GS건설 즐거운 돌봄교실' 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

GS건설은 이번 협약을 통해 돌봄교실 리모델링에 필요한 재원을 지원하고,슬롯 커뮤 중계시공을 담당한다.

기존 교실의 여유 공간을 독서 활동,슬롯 커뮤 중계미술 교실 등 다양한 방과 후 수업이 가능한 다목적 공간으로 재단장할 예정이다.

GS건설은 지난해 서울 은평구 수색초등학교에 돌봄교실 1호점을 완공했으며,슬롯 커뮤 중계올해 3월 중랑구 면남초등학교에 2호점을 완공했다.

올해에는 연간 총 4곳의 돌봄교실을 완공하는 것을 목표로 사업을 추진 중이다.

GS건설 관계자는 "ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 시대의 사회공헌 활동은 지역사회 구성원들과 함께 기업이 가진 자원을 공유하고,슬롯 커뮤 중계생활이 어려운 미래세대의 자립에도 힘써 더 나은 미래를 위한 사회적 가치를 창출하는 방향으로 가고 있다"며 "다양하고 차별화된 사회공헌활동을 지속적으로 추진해 ESG 선도 기업으로서 최선을 다할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
