지난 8일 규모 7.1 지진이 일본 규슈 남부 미야자키현을 강타한 지 나흘 만인 12일에는 제5호 태풍 '마리아'가 혼슈 동북부 도호쿠 지방을 관통하며 많은 비를 뿌려 피해가 잇따랐다.

교도통신과 NHK에 따르면 일본 기상청은 태풍 마리아가 12일 오전 8시 30분쯤 이와테현 오후나토시 부근에 상륙한 뒤 북서진해 오후 8시쯤 아키타현을 거쳐 동해상으로 빠져나갔다고 발표했다.

태풍 마리아는 중심 기압은 996hPa(헥토파스칼)이고 중심 최대 풍속은 초속 20ｍ였다.

이 태풍으로 도호쿠 지방에는 481.5㎜의 기록적인 비가 쏟아졌다.

구지시는 오사나이초 등 하천 주변 지역 4177가구 8300명에게 피난을 요구하는 가장 높은 경계인 레벨 5단계 '긴급안전확보' 지시를 발령했다.

기상청은 13일 동해상으로 빠져나간 태풍 마리아는 열대저기압으로 바뀔 전망이지만 14일까지 홋카이도와 도호쿠 지방에 많은 비가 이어질 것으로 예보됐다.

NHK에 따르면 태풍 마리아로 인한 인명 피해는 보고되지 않았지만 도호쿠와 도쿄,아시안게임 야구 감독오사카를 잇는 항공편 86편을 결항됐고,아시안게임 야구 감독고속열차인 아키타 신칸센의 아키타와 모리오카 간 상하행선 운행이 중단됐다.

태풍 '마리아'는 오늘 새벽 열대저압부로 약화됐고,아시안게임 야구 감독현재 일본 센다이 남동쪽 해상에 있는 제6호 태풍 '손띤'도 점차 북서진해 14일 새벽쯤 센다이 북동쪽 해상에서 소멸할 것으로 예상된다.

하지만 제7호 태풍 '암필'이 또 다시 일본 열도를 향해 북진하고 있어 일본 당국은 긴장을 늦추지 못하고 있다.

기상청에 따르면 7호 태풍 '암필'은 오늘 새벽 3시쯤 일본 오키나와 남동쪽 해상에서 발생해 앞선 두 태풍처럼 도쿄 동쪽 해상을 향해 북상할 것으로 보인다.

광복절인 15일 이후 강한 태풍으로 발달하며 도쿄 인근 해상까지 북상할 것으로 전망됐다.

일본 열도를 위협하고 있는 세 태풍 모두 한반도에는 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않을 것으로 보이지만,아시안게임 야구 감독기압계 영향을 받아 폭염 지속으로 이어질 가능성이 높다.
